Glenn Walther DVM

Glenn Walther is the owner and veterinarian of Walther Animal Clinic, located in Houma, Louisiana. He started working at the clinic in 1986 and has owned the clinic since 1995. Glenn was born and raised in Houma, he grew up working on the family farm and in the practice for his father, Dr. Dick Walther. He graduated from Terrebonne High School, got his BS from LSU, and his DVM from LSU.

Glenn began working in the veterinary industry because of his background, he enjoyed working with people and their pets. He knew he was in the right profession when he began fostering the personal relationships with people and their pets that Veterinary Medicine allows. As a Veterinarian, his professional interests are in all disciplines involved with the practice of Veterinary Medicine. He is a member of LVMA, AVMA, Terrebonne Parish Chamber of Commerce, LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation, LSU Gridiron Booster Club, and a former member of the Louisiana State Board of Veterinary Medicine. Outside of work, Glenn is married and has two children. He is an LSU and local professional sports team fan and enjoys working outdoors and woodworking as hobbies.

Diana Tran DVM

Diana Tran is a team member at Walther Animal Clinic. She was raised in Houma and went to school here (elementary to high school). She began working in the veterinary industry because she loved her first dog and identified with the veterinarian. Her favorite thing about working with animals is being able to help those without voices and supporting the human-animal bond. She knew she was in the right profession when she woke up eager to see what the day would bring her.

As a veterinarian, Diana’s professional interests include surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, and dentistry. She is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Diana is passionate about these areas because she can help her patients in these fields.

Outside of work, Diana is married, has 2 dogs, and enjoys crafting, working out, and traveling.

Brandy

Brandy is the Practice Manager of Walther Animal Clinic. Brandy has been working at the clinic since February 2000. She grew up “down da bayou” in DuLarge, in a large extended family. She attended Terrebonne High School and then Nicholls State. Currently, Brandy is enrolled in an online program to earn her CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager)

Brandy began working in the veterinary industry because of her love for animals. She started working part-time at the Walther Animal Clinic while also working for a local dermatologist, but soon realized she preferred working with animals. Brandy knew she was in the right profession when she woke up and realized she wanted to go to work and wasn’t hitting the snooze button every time the alarm went off. She couldn’t imagine working anywhere else.

Outside of work, Brandy has been married to her husband for 16 years, and they have two children, two dogs, and two cats. Brandy is a dedicated volunteer in the community and is an active member of the town’s Junior Auxiliary. and also serves as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for children in foster care.

Nicole RVT

Nicole is a Registered Veterinary Technician and was born and raised in the area. She graduated from Ellender Memorial High School in 2008 and graduated from Penn Foster College in 2020 with a diploma in veterinary technology.

Nicole’s favorite thing about working in the veterinary industry is patient care. Seeing the animals progress and get better gives her a sense of pride in what she does. From the very beginning, Nicole knew she was in the right profession because she has always had a love for animals of all kinds. Her career lets her interact with and care for animals every single day and provide care and compassion to all animals and their owners through all phases and hurdles in life. Outside of work, Nicole is the daughter of Lila and Darryl, has a sister, Brandie (Nik BIL) and godchildren Nathan and Caleb. She is married to Katie. Nicole enjoys traveling, loved playing softball back in the day and spending time with her family is one of her top priorities.

Amber

Amber is a Veterinary Assistant at Walther Animal Clinic. She started working at the clinic in November 2022. She attended EDW Catholic High School and is currently attending the Penn Foster Vet Tech program. She began working in the veterinary industry in 2019 and currently continues to work in the same field. Her favorite thing about working with animals is seeing them every day and helping them, she finds it to be a rewarding career. She knew she was in the right profession when she came to work every day and saw all the pets and knew she could be their voice and help them get the care they needed. Outside of work, Amber has a 6-year-old daughter and 4 pets (two dogs and two cats). Her personal interests include watching movies, hunting and fishing, and spending time with her little girl and friends.

Chae

Chae is a Veterinary Assistant at Walther Animal Clinic. She began working at the practice on January 10th, 2022. Chae always had a passion for working with animals and took a chance when she saw an application for the job. Her favorite thing about working with animals is how they show their love and affection, and how they communicate in so many ways. Within a few weeks of starting the job, Chae knew she was in the right profession, thanks in part to the support and guidance of her coworkers. Outside of work, Chae enjoys drawing and painting as well as traveling.

Kelsey

Kelsey is a Veterinary Assistant and started working at the clinic in August 2021. Kelsey has always had pets growing up and loved being around and helping animals which led her to pursue a career in the veterinary industry. She knew she was in the right profession when she took a littermate from her pet litter who broke his leg, his owners did not want to go through with surgery to fix it. Kelsey took the pet in as her own and got him the surgery he needed. This shows her compassion and love for animals.

Meghan

Meghan is a Receptionist and began working at the clinic on January 20, 2021. Meghan is from Lower Bayou Blue, Louisiana and graduated from Central Lafourche High School. She began working in the veterinary industry because it was something she had always wanted to do and realized that childcare wasn’t the right fit for her. Her favorite thing about working with animals is seeing all the cute pets that come into the clinic.

Meghan knew this was the right profession for her about 3 months after starting at the clinic. In her free time, Meghan has been dating her boyfriend Aaron for 4 years, and together they have a 3-year-old chocolate lab named Addie Rae and a yellow lab pup named Willow Kate. Recently they are excited to find out that their family will be expanding with a human baby, and they are ready to begin this new chapter.

Kaylie

Kaylie is a Veterinary Receptionist and began working at Walther Animal Clinic in October. Kaylie grew up in Montegut, Louisiana, and graduated from South Terrebonne High School. She has lived in the area since she was born and plans to always reside there.

Kaylie began working in the veterinary industry because of the love she developed for animals after getting her first pet dog almost two years ago. She enjoys learning about the different personalities of animals and their medical histories, and she loves being able to help not only the pets but their owners as well. Kaylie knew she was in the right profession when she loved coming to work every day and was excited to wake up and face the day. Outside of work, Kaylie is engaged to her fiancé, with whom she has been together for 4 years and who is getting married this year. They have one dog and one cat, which they love dearly.

Ashlee

Ashlee is an Assistant at Walther Animal Clinic. She has been working at the clinic since April 2020. Ashlee is a high school graduate and was born and raised in the area. She’s had a love for animals since she was a young child. When the opportunity to work in the veterinary field presented itself, she decided to jump in and has not looked back. Ashlee knew she was in the right profession when her clinic did not stop educating her based on her education level and when she was able to keep her composure during her personal dog’s surgeries.
